How these terms fit with your agreement
These terms give general information about Knife Kite’s services and the use of this website. Paid Knife Kite services are also governed by the Service Agreement and the Schedule agreed with each client. If anything here is inconsistent with a client’s signed Service Agreement and Schedule, the signed agreement and Schedule apply to that client’s paid services.
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Who we are
Knife Kite is a business operated by Scott Feeney, a sole trader based in New South Wales.
- Legal name: Scott Feeney trading as Knife Kite
- ABN: 92 721 361 463 (registered for GST)
- Address: 163 North Forbes Road, Condobolin NSW 2877
- Email: scott@knifekite.com
In these terms, “Knife Kite”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Scott Feeney trading as Knife Kite. “You” means anyone using this website or our services.
What we offer
Knife Kite helps Australian trades and home services businesses get found, get answered and follow up properly. We offer two packages.
- Launch is built to capture the work you’re currently losing. It includes a professional 5-page website, Google Business Profile setup, Knife Response (our virtual receptionist) answering calls you can’t take 24/7, a backup text if a caller hangs up early, enquiry alerts, The VRD (your Visibility & Response Desk), Knife Follow-Up, review requests, a monthly report and direct support from Scott.
- Dominate includes everything in Launch, plus extra service and suburb pages, ongoing local search work, past-customer follow-up and a bigger monthly report.
The exact inclusions for each client are set out in their Schedule. We don’t promise any particular number of jobs, bookings, rankings or revenue. Advertising spend, paid ads management and extra websites, locations or phone lines aren’t included unless agreed in writing.
Fees and GST
All our prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Each package has a one-off setup fee and a monthly fee. Our current prices are:
- Launch: A$997 setup, then A$997 a month
- Dominate: A$1,497 setup, then A$1,797 a month
Prices on this website can change. The prices that apply to you are the ones in your signed Schedule. You’ll receive a tax invoice showing our ABN for every payment.
How billing works
- You pay the setup fee by card through our secure payment link when you sign up, and your card is saved for your monthly fee. Work starts once that payment is confirmed and your card is saved.
- No monthly fee is charged while we build. Your first monthly fee is charged on your go-live date.
- After that, your monthly fee is charged to the same card each month on your go-live date. You can update your card details at any time using the link we send you.
- Hosting and platform costs for the services in your package are included in the monthly fee.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for more.
Minimum term and cancelling
- Each package has a minimum term of 3 months, counted from your go-live date.
- After the minimum term, your service continues month to month. Either of us can end it by giving 30 days’ written notice.
- If you end your service during the minimum term, the remaining monthly fees for the minimum term are still payable.
- There are no exit fees after the minimum term.
To cancel, email scott@knifekite.com.
Refunds
The setup fee covers the work to plan, build and set up your system. The monthly fee covers your service for that month.
Fees you’ve already paid aren’t refundable, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or remedy you’re entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.
Go-live target
We aim to have your Knife Kite system live about 10 business days after your onboarding form is complete, subject to factors outside our control. A complete onboarding form means all required answers and files, manager access to your Google Business Profile, your website content, and the ABN and business details needed to register your phone number and text sender.
This is a target, not a guarantee, and no fee credit applies if it moves. The timing can change because of things like these:
- Delays on your side. Where we need your approval, feedback or information to keep going, you’ll have 2 business days to respond. After that, the 10-business-day launch period pauses until we have what we need.
- Third-party delays. Delays caused by providers outside our control, such as Google verification, phone carrier processing or domain registrar processing, pause the launch period for as long as they stop us from finishing. That paused time doesn’t count towards the 10 business days.
The go-live target covers timing only. It doesn’t change the 3-month minimum term, your monthly fees or any other terms of your agreement.
What we need from you
Our services depend on getting the right information and access from you on time. As a client, you agree to:
- give us accurate, complete information and keep it up to date, including changes to your hours, services, phone numbers or service area
- give us the access we need, such as manager access to your Google Business Profile
- provide your website content, such as your business description, services and photos
- provide your ABN and business documents where needed to register your phone number and text sender
- confirm how you want calls handled before we treat your line as live
- approve follow-up, review request and campaign wording, and respond to drafts within 2 business days
- only give us customer lists you have permission to contact, and confirm that permission in writing
- make sure the content you give us is accurate and that you have the right to use it
Things outside our control
Some parts of our service rely on other organisations, including domain registrars, hosting providers, phone carriers, Google and government regulators. Phone and SMS delivery depend on carriers and networks we don’t control. We’ll act quickly when something goes wrong, but we’re not responsible for delays or outages caused by these third parties.
Who owns what
- Your content. Website content, copy and design we produce for you belong to you once the fees for that period are paid.
- Your Google Business Profile stays yours.
- Our systems. Our own methods, templates, know-how and the tools and systems we use to deliver our services stay ours or our providers’. You get to use them while your subscription is active.
- Your domain name. You own your domain name. During the service, you give us the access we need to manage it, such as DNS access.
- If you leave. Once the minimum term has ended and all amounts owed are paid, we’ll hand over your website files within 14 days, so you can move them to hosting you choose. We won’t delete your data without your instruction.
- Case studies. We may use non-identifying details of our work with you as a case study.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Changes to these website terms don’t change a signed client agreement unless both of us agree in writing.
How go-live timing works
- This applies to new Knife Kite Launch (A$997 setup, then A$997 a month (inc. GST)) and Knife Kite Dominate (A$1,497 setup, then A$1,797 a month (inc. GST)) clients.
- The 10 business days count from when your onboarding form is complete: all required answers and files, manager access to your Google Business Profile, your website content, and the ABN and business details needed to register your Australian number and text sender.
- “Live” means Knife Response is answering on your nominated number, backup text and text lead alerts are switched on, your website is live or approved to publish, and your Google Business Profile setup is under way.
- Delays on your side, such as content, approvals taking longer than 2 business days, access, or compliance documents, move the timeline but don’t change the fee.
- Delays caused by third-party providers outside our control, such as Google verification, phone carrier processing or domain registrar processing, pause the 10-business-day launch period for the time that delay prevents us from completing your launch. That paused time does not count towards the 10 business days.
- About 10 business days is a target, not a guarantee. There’s no credit on your setup fee if it takes longer.
- Go-live timing doesn’t change the 3 month minimum from the day you go live, the monthly fees, or the other terms of your service agreement.
Full terms are in your Knife Kite service agreement and our Terms. Questions? Email scott@knifekite.com.
